I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
It were those childhood dreams, which I passionately chased;
Got so embroiled in them that fun of my youth I had missed.
Halt there, O' dear life! please reduce your speed somewhat,
I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
Many a goals I had achieved but I was never to be contented,
As the race went on, sorrow and ecstasy were both presented.
Halt there, O' dear life! please reduce your speed somewhat,
I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
There were those times when 'life' moved slowly, so did I;
I don't know how it happened, but suddenly 'life' began to fly?
Halt there, O' dear life! please reduce your speed somewhat,
I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
In this fast moving life, I came across land- mark destinations-
At times, my feet stumbled or it were simple miscalculations.
Halt there, O' dear life! please reduce your speed somewhat,
I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
'Relatives- worries' or the 'pressure of my job' were never kind;
Also, the future of my children constantly troubled my mind?
Halt there, O' dear life! please reduce your speed somewhat,
I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
I was so engrossed with the worries of the future, my dear!
I have no clue when my face aged and body had wear and tear.
Halt there, O' dear life! please reduce your speed somewhat,
I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
I lament, I wasted my time always worrying for others,
Time to take rest now "Rajee", your tired feet dodder.
Halt, O' dear Life! Please reduce your speed somewhat;
I have been constantly on the move, let me have some rest.
