IS REBIRTH A 'BLACK SWAN' PHENOMENON?

TRUTH ABOUT REBIRTH AND REINCARNATION--WHAT IS IT?

          BRIAN WEISS in his book ,"MANY LIVES, MANY MASTERS" talked of his true personal experiences of rebirth narrated by one of his patients, CATHERINE. He did not believe in rebirth but the experience changed his life. He is a world famous PSYCHIATRIST. Another US based Investigator Dr STEVENSON, who has spent 50 years studying this phenomenon, has concluded on its veracity.

           NASSIM NICHOLAS TALEB, a pioneer in ANTILOGICS, says that BLACK SWAN is a highly IMPROBABLE event but it happens. In other words, it is inexplicable and unpredictable but it leaves a bigger impact on future events. It is the randomness of the event which defies all patterns and theories. Therefore, is rebirth and reincarnation BLACK SWAN PHENOMENON--inexplicable by science and RATIONALISTS but it does happen? NASSIM also says that once the event has taken place we can work out a theory to explain it and its RANDOMNESS would go. This is what the SCIENTISTS do on REBIRTH & REINCARNATION , too. They conjecture some vague, weird and ambiguous theories to reject the phenonmenon, which they only understand but not the common man. Am I wrong? Ok, It might be fudgy but not a FUDGY LOGIC. You know what is a FUDGY LOGIC. Don't you? Some other time. Let us get on with a true story of rebirth which my SCIENTIST FRIENDS ARE UNABLE TO EXPLAIN BUT REFUSE TO ACCEPT. Here is it.

         There was a special report on REBIRTH and REINCARNATION on AAJ TAK channel on 16 june 2007. According to the story, a girl called PARAMJIT of SIKH parents died some eight years back due to electric shock. she was ten years old then. She had taken rebirth as SHIVANI to HINDU parents at AMBALA(HARYANA) some six years back. She has been narrating stories of her past life since she was three years old. She has been giving exact details of how she had died. She had recognised her father suddenly, one day, in the street y-- and stunned him by giving all the details of PARAMJIT. A strange but TRUE STORY. Whole region accepts this truth, but some members of INDIA;s RATIONALIST SOCIETY--WHO CAN NOT EXPLAIN BUT ALSO DO NOT ACCEPT. They just sat SPEECHLESS WHEN THE GIRL was ferreting out strange facts & details.

      A RATIONALIST, one Mr. SANAL, was there on the channel, too. He is supposedly ALL INDIA PRESIDENT of RATIONALIST SOCIETY OF YOURS.He did not and could not give any reason to explain as to why he did not believe in REBIRTH other than PARROTING out a COMPUTERISED PHRASE that there was NO SCEINTIFIC basis. Fine, one does understand but explain and prove the conduct of the girl wrong, SCIENTIFICALLY, which he could not do so. My question is: FINE, THERE WAS NO SCIENTI FIC EVIDENCE. BUT MUSTN'T SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE PHENOMENON? JUST MERELY UTTERING MECHANICAL DENIALS, SUCH AS, 'NO-NO I DO NOT BELIEVE' IS NOT ADEQUATE. It is an insult to the science. Isn't it?

        Finally, he came out with the explanation that she might have read the NEWS PAPERS or seen the TV news. People burst out laughing when the ex-parents of the girl told him that they did not make a mention of it to anyone what to say of the NEWS on TV/NEWS PAPERS? He should have accepted the fact and carry out INVESTIGATION. In any case, how could a three year/six year old child read NEWS PAPERS and REMEMBER DETAILS FROM a news item. Sometimes, my SCIENTIST FRIENDS are themselve IRRATIONAL. No. Then, REFUTE IT WITH 'SCIENTIFIC' EXPLANATION.

         Dr. NK CHADDA, a DELHI-BASED PSYCHIATRIST , who was on the channel, too, was unable to explain but he accepted the truth of REBIRTH. He also talked of his 15 years work on this phenomenon. He has studied 52 cases world-wide from UK to USA to AFRICA. He asserted 38 cases provided solid evidence on its VERACITY. In his own words," REBIRTH IS TRUE, THOUGH SCIENCE CAN NOT EXPLAIN".

         TO GET EMOTIONAL WITH ONE's CRAZE FOR SCIENTIFIC LOGIC BEYOND A DEGREE OF "VISIBLE RATIONALITY" IS UNJUSTIFIABLE. MANY PHENOMENONS ARE INEXPLICABLE BY SCIENCE BUT YET YOU ACCEPT THE FACT. 'SCIENCE' IS NOT THE 'BE ALL' AND 'END ALL' OF LIFE ALONE. SCIENCE IS NOT ABOUT DENYING AND REJECTING VISIBLE FACTS BUT IT IS ABOUT INQUIRY, INVESTIGATION, HYPOTHESISATION, EXPERIMENTATION, OBSERVATION AND EXPLANATION.
